Can A Natural Hair Loss Treatment Really Stop Hair Loss in 7-Days?

Looking for natural hair loss treatment?  This article is written for you.

Losing your hair can be a constant source of frustration and embarrassment.

Unfortunately, many of the options available to treat thinning hair can be extremely expensive or complicated or both. Which means, choosing the right hair loss products and solutions can be daunting. Hopefully, this article will give you info that will help you make a more informed decision about the hair loss treatment options that are available to you. Let's take a look at the full spectrum of available options, from surgery to natural hair loss treatments.

The big question: Do I want to invest a little or a LOT to recover my hair and restore my appearance? There are many possibilities available to you ranging in cost from thousands of dollars to essentially free. These options also range widely in effectiveness.

Hair Transplant – The Rolls-Royce Option

On the upper end of the range is hair transplant surgery. This is definitely the Rolls-Royce of the industry and for most men - a solution that will provide a reasonably satisfactory outcome.

Problem is - for lots of guys the cost is quite prohibitive since this procedure can range in price from $5,000 to over $15,000 -- depending on the number of grafts you need and the number of grafts your harvest area can yield. Other potential drawbacks are the pain of surgery, recovery time, scarring on your scalp, and the possibility that in the end your restored hairline may show tale-tell signs of being newly installed hair plugs.

Laser Hair Loss Treatment – The BMW Option

Laser light hair therapy is an option for you if you don’t want to or unable to take medications. The cost is far cheaper than hair transplant and the process is much easier. “Lasers can undoubtedly encourage hair growth”, says Dr. Marc Avram, a clinical associate professor of dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. Men and Women usually see positive results in three to six months, depending on individual hair loss situation.  You can simply DIY at home.  The price will be from $220 to $550 for hand held laser device such as Spencer Forrest X5 Laser or Supergrow 50 which allows you to sit down and let the laser work for you.

The Mid Range OTC Medications / DHT Blocker

The mid-range solutions include hair loss products such as Rogaine and Propecia. The product Propecia - is a hair loss drug made by Merck Pharmaceuticals. The generic name for this drug is Finasteride. Studies indicate that over 60% of men experience "some" regrowth of hair after 12-18 MONTHS of taking this product. The drug works by blocking the development of DHT (the male hormone) and preventing it from attaching to the hair follicle. This disrupts or slows male pattern hair loss. The major drawbacks are - this drug only treats baldness in the top back and mid-scalp. There is no evidence that it works on the front hairline or on hair loss in the temporal region. The cost for a 90-pill package is between $125 and $175. And You will have to take this drug daily for the rest of your life or you will lose any hair regrowth you have achieved.

Rogaine is a hair loss product made by Pharmacia & Upjohn. The generic name for this drug is Minoxidil.  It is most effective for men under 40 with hair loss that is fairly recent. The major drawbacks are - the Rogaine 2% solution has been shown to grow very little or NO hair for most men. Also, it has no effect on frontal hair loss or receding hairlines, and most new hair growth is lost only a few months after you stop using this product. The 5% Rogaine is thought to be a little more effective but is recommended to be combined with Propecia. 5% Rogaine costs between $25 and $30 and must be used twice daily for the rest of your life.

Lower End Home Treatments

Other hair loss products at the lower end of the cost range are hair loss shampoos such as Tricomin and Provillus, and many others too numerous to name. For the most part, these products are essentially hair loss shampoos, conditioners and leave-in products. They usually do an "ok" job of reducing DHT and helping to nourish hair follicles, but these shampoos are pricey. The shampoo, conditioner and leave-in product combo package for most of these kinds of products can run somewhere between $60 and $150. And you'll have to be patient. It's likely to be several months before you notice any real change in your hair growth. And again, once you stop using them you can say goodbye to any new hair growth you've achieved.

The Natural Hair Loss Treatment – Close to $0

And then there are natural hair regrowth treatment options.  Most cost next to nothing to learn, implement and maintain. This approach to reversing hair loss can be quite effective and produce faster results than some of the other options mentioned in this article.

That's because most natural hair regrowth treatments give you several simple, fast techniques to reduce DHT, a number of easy and natural ways to stimulate and nourish hair follicles, and a plethora of inexpensive, everyday household items and herbs to help you reduce virtually all of the underlying causes of hair loss... not just DHT. While some of the more expensive treatment options take 12-18 MONTHS to produce results, the "right" natural hair loss treatment regime can stop hair loss in just 7 days. And in 2-3 months, can produce measurable, undeniable hair regrowth in all of your thinning areas... including the front hairline.

The challenge with using natural hair regrowth treatments is there is no real road-map that describes exactly how to set-up a complete and comprehensive hair regrowth regime. There's nothing indicating which techniques to use, which to do first or last, the precise herbs and other products you'll need, where to find them, how to use them, etc. That being said, regrowing your hair definitely isn't rocket science. Anyone who is determined can certainly, through lots of time consuming trial and error-- and countless Google searches-- eventually discover how to use natural methods to begin regrowing their hair. Alternatively, you can check out STOP Thinning Hair to learn more about natural hair regrowth treatments and step-by-step instructions to help you achieve the fastest possible results.

Hot Tips To Prevent Hair Loss!

While Androgenetic Alopecia is the number one reason why individuals experience hair loss, it is not the only one. Medical conditions such as hypothyroidism, ringworm and fungal infections can cause hair loss. Certain medications such as blood thinners, gout medication, birth control pills and too much vitamin A can cause sudden or abnormal hair loss as can following a crash diet, sudden hormonal changes, chemotherapy and radiation. If you are taking prescription medications, talk to your doctor and find out if your medication is contributing to your hair loss.

At any given time 10% of our hair is in what is called a "resting phase" and after 2-3 months resting, hair falls out and new hair grows in its place. Some people, however, experience more hair loss than is normal.

Over here are some excellent resources on how to prevent further hair loss:

Avoid mega-doses of vitamin A. Too much vitamin A can cause your hair to fall out.

Exercise, do yoga, meditate or find some other practice that will help to reduce your anxiety and stress levels. If you wear pigtails, cornrows, use a curling iron, hair dryer or hot rollers, try changing your hair style to one that puts less pressure and stress on your hair and scalp.

If hot oil treatments or chemicals such as those used in permanents are causing inflammation to the scalp, discontinue their use, or reduce the number of times you are using them.

Use gentle shampoos and conditioners to avoid any unnecessary damage to your hair.

In men, herbs such as saw palmetto and licorice root help block the formation of DHT. The same holds true for supplementation with zinc. As an added benefit, studies show that these supplements can also help prevent prostate enlargement.

Massage your scalp with rosemary oil in an olive oil base. Both rosemary oil and massaging the scalp can stimulate the circulation in the scalp and promote hair growth. Again, if you are experiencing hair loss, check with your doctor to ensure that a more serious disorder isn't the cause.

Hair Loss Basic Understanding

Before solving a problem one must understand the problem. Hair loss is the most common medical problem. Millions of people all over the world are struggling in the endless battle to stop their hair loss. However, most of them did not spend a couple of minutes learning what exactly the meaning of hair loss is. Read the following lines to learn the basics about hair, hair loss and hair loss treatments.

Did you know that an average scalp has about 150,000 hair follicles and hair – more than 90% of them are continuously growing.

What is hair?

Hair is the fastest growing tissue of the body. It is made of keratins which are a type of proteins. Each hair strand includes three layers: the medulla (the inner layer), the cortex and the cuticle. Hair grows from roots – Those roots get the vital ingredients to the hair growth by the blood. The roots are a living tissue but the visible hair strand is a dead tissue. Therefore, any hair loss treatment should take care of the scalp and roots and not of the hair strands.

How does the hair grow?

It is natural to loose hair. Actually, we all loose about 100 hairs a day. We start noticing that we suffer from hair loss only after losing more than 50% of our hair.

The phases of the life cycle of hair are:

Anagen – In this phase the hair is actively growing. This phase lasts about 5 years.

Catagen – In this phase the hair falls out. It lasts about 3 weeks.

Telogen – In this phase the hair is resting. It lasts about 12 weeks.

What are the causes of hair loss?

There are various conditions that may cause hair loss from heritage to stress. For each cause one may find different hair loss treatments. Hair loss treatments include anything from the FDA approved hair loss drug called Propecia or Rogaine to natural hair loss treatments as Rogaine to hair transplant surgeries.

How To Stop Hair Loss

I think there are a few questions in this world that virtually everyone would like the answers to. One of them regards God and heaven. Another concerns Elvis' whereabouts. And finally there is how to stop hair loss. Does that sound about right to everyone?

Okay, so maybe those aren't exactly everyone's ultimate questions, but they are interesting and intriguing nonetheless. So, on to the one we can deal with. As we know, many individuals start to lose their hair before they actually want to. This translates as during our lifetimes. We want to keep that patch of fuzz up top until we're dead and buried. Am I right or am I not right? I don't care if you're a man or a woman; you want your dew looking great.

So you want to understand how to stop hair loss? There are a few things I was told to do back in modeling school. These rituals basically aided your hair in its health and growth. One of them was occasional handstands. You see, all the blood rushes to your head, which is apparently beneficial in some way.

The second one is massage. Not your back; but your scalp instead. Massage it once in a while to stimulate the follicles and promote hair growth. The third one is the consumption of a daily multivitamin. Be certain that your body receives all the nutrients it needs at all times. This is imperative.

And finally, if you really want to know how to stop hair loss, you should avoid stress. Yeah, that's what I said. Deal with stress as best you can. Don't let it rule you and don't keep it pent up inside. Find some sort of release like meditation or yoga. Anyway, do these regimes sound like they are the essential answers regarding how to stop hair loss. Okay, I have to question the hand stand one. That sounds a little iffy to me.

Your home is a great place to learn more about how to stop hair loss. I am talking about the Internet. Take full advantage of this phenomenal machine and find out everything there is to know about hair loss and how to treat and prevent it. Also, if you've already begun losing your dew, you may want to visit a trichologist for professional answers. He/she will be able to update you concerning the contemporary solutions.

Hair Loss Myths

Not surprisingly, hair loss myths are more well known than hair loss facts.  Since hair loss is such a common and unwelcome condition, the public has been flooded with hair loss myths to promote sales of hair loss prevention products.  Many companies have jumped on the hair loss bandwagon because of our own enormous desires to eliminate hair loss from our lives, not to mention the unlimited amount of money that we (the public) are willing to spend on this quest.  This makes the hair loss market ripe for perpetuating myths that will increase sales.  But, for the most part, they are just that, myths.

Some of the more common hair loss myths are as follows.

Hair loss myth #1: Male Pattern Baldness comes from the mother’s side of the family and skips a generation.  Not true.  There is no one single gene that causes baldness.  Most researches believe that MPB is a result of several different genes, inherited from both parents, interacting with each other to cause hair loss.

Hair loss myth #2:  Pattern baldness affects only men.  Just ask any women suffering from pattern baldness, it’s not true.  In fact, hair loss is just as common in women as it is in men, it just usually occurs in a less virulent form and is easier to hide.  Also, women’s hair tends to thin out over the entire scalp area, whereas men’s hair thins in patches and at the forehead.

Hair loss myth #3:  Poor blood flow to the scalp area causes hair loss.  This is a misconception that has been perpetuated by companies selling hair loss products for years.  Ask any dermatologist and they will tell you, bald scalps have just as much blood flow as scalps full of hair.  It is because of this blood flow to the bald scalp that hair transplants work so well.

Hair loss myth #4:  If you haven’t lost your hair by 40, you aren’t going to.  Again, not true.  Age has nothing to do with it.  If you are genetically predisposed to loose your hair, you are going to.  Just be grateful you made it to 40 with your hair still intact.

Hair loss myth #5:  Stress makes your hair fall out.  Okay, in some part, this is true, but it takes a very traumatic event to cause enough stress that your hair falls out.  The common stress we experience on a daily basis will not make our hair fall out.  In fact, some stress can actually increase the production of hair.

Okay, I could go on and on about hair loss myths and not run out of things to talk about.  My point is this.  Most of the facts we think we know about hair loss are actually hair loss myths.  If you are suffering from hair loss, consult your doctor.  Your physician will be able to give you a factual reason for your hair loss and advise you on what types of treatments would work in your specific case.

How to Stop Hair Loss with a Good Diet and Healthy Lifestyle

How to Stop Hair Loss with a Good Diet and Healthy Lifestyle

If you have been grappling with the question on how to stop hair loss, take a serious look at your diet and lifestyle before you start considering one of those expensive hair loss treatments.

Experts believe that the contents of your diet, your lifestyle and the way you generally treat your hair contributes to the degeneration process of your hair. Your hair is just like any other part of your body. If you are not eating right, your hair will starve of the necessary nutrients it needs to look healthy. It is not uncommon for your hair to look lifeless if your diet consists of junk foods, fat and other unhealthy stuff.

Eating Right

The best way to stay healthy is to eat right. How to stop hair loss will not be a problem for you if you if you understand how your diet affects the functioning of your body. Note that your body is like a machine, if you do not give it the right type of fuel, it will choke and if you do not put some oil in it, it will rust.

By eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, you keep your body healthy and strong. Fruits and vegetables have been proven to provide the necessary nutrients that can make your skin and your hair glow. Note that your hair needs vitamin B complex to regenerate. Since fruits and vegetables are loaded with this type of vitamins, you have your answer to the question on how to stop hair loss.

Aside from fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean meat and non-fatty foods are essential. Try to avoid all those carbonated beverages and instead drink a lot of water and fresh fruit juices. Blending and juicing up at least six types of fruits in a day is very healthy. Dark purple fruits such as grapes and cranberries contain a lot of antioxidants that prevent certain types of diseases and delay the aging process. If you have no time to make your own juice, you can just buy bottles of 100 per cent juice sold in supermarkets.

Healthy Lifestyle to Stop Hair Loss

According to some experts, the question on how to stop hair loss is a bit overrated. It is not really so hard to stop hair loss if you live your life well. Note that constant hairstyling can be very harmful to your hair also. Go easy on the styling because this can really weaken the foundation of your hair. On the other hand, leading a very stressful life can lead to hair loss and other bodily disturbances. By changing your lifestyle, you will be able to save your hair and the rest of your body.

New Hair Loss Treatment

New Hair Loss Treatment: Bringing Back Your Youthful Look

Many people associate baldness with aging.  Although hair loss can happen at any stage in life, it does create an aging look.

Some people unfortunately go bald in their early 30s or even younger. Being bald at this early age can be very distressing. In fact, for most men, going bald at any stage in life can be downright stressful. To bring back your hair and your youthful look, you may be interested in almost any new hair loss treatments.  However you have to take extra care in looking for the right option that suits you.

Finding the Right New Hair Loss Treatment for You

The best way to find the right hair loss treatment for you is to consult a medical doctor and hair loss specialist. These professional experts usually charge high fee, but it is always worth consulting one before you administer any type of treatment. Try not to experiment with some new hair loss treatment products on your own especially if you have a history of allergies.

Some new hair loss treatment products may contain ingredients that can irritate your scalp or cause some skin allergies. It doesn’t really matter if the label says that the product is hypoallergenic, if your scalp is naturally sensitive to certain substances, it is bound to react to these substances.

One Solution Won't Work for All

Different people may need different types of treatment. If a new hair loss treatment produces good effects on somebody you know, there is no guarantee that the same treatment will work wonders on your head. Not everyone will respond to a new hair loss treatment in the same manner. If you notice any adverse effects on your system, inform your doctor right away and stop that treatment.

When using a new hair loss treatment product, make sure that you follow the instructions from your doctor closely. Do not attempt to over use the product in the hope of hastening the process of hair growth. Also, do not attempt to use the product more often or longer than what has been prescribed. Some new hair loss treatments have undesirable side effects after prolonged use. There have been reports in the past of ugly hair growth on the face on people who have been using hair loss treatments. Hair growth on the face can be very scary.  No matter how dearly you want your hair back, it is always advisable to consult a professional for advice.

The Truth About Hair Loss

It is normal to shed hair every day and the truth is we loose between 100-125 hairs on any given day. Hair that is shed falls out at the end of growth cycle. At any given time 10% of our hair is in what is called a “resting phase” and after 2-3 months resting, hair falls out and new hair grows in its place. Some people, however, experience more hair loss than is normal.

As we get older, both men and women experience some hair loss. It’s a normal part of the aging process. Called Androgenetic Alopecia, it accounts for 95% of all hair loss. Androgentic Alopecia often runs in families and affects some people more than others. In men it is often referred to as Male Pattern Baldness.

It is characterized by a receding hair line and baldness on the top of head. Women, on the other hand, don’t go entirely bald even if their hair loss is severe. Instead, hair loss is spread out evenly over their entire scalp.

Hormones play the dominant role when talking about Androgenetic Alopecia. Simple put, both men and women produce testosterone. Testosterone can be converted to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) with the aid of the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. DHT shrinks hair follicles causing the membranes in the scalp to thicken, become inelastic and restrict blood flow. This causes the hair follicles to atrophy. As a result, when a hair does fall out, it is not replaced.

Needless to say, men produce more testosterone than women and experience more hair loss.

Emotional stress, pregnancy, or surgery can also cause our hair to fall out and is usually not noticed until 3-4 months after the stressful event has taken place. Stress can cause a slowing of new hair growth because a larger number of hair follicles enter into the resting phase and no new hair growth is experienced.

Another way in which individuals experience hair loss is due to mechanical stressors on the hair and scalp. Wearing pigtails, cornrows or tight rollers that end up pulling on the hair can scar the scalp and cause permanent hair loss. Hair products such as hot oil treatments and chemicals used for permanents can cause inflammation to the hair follicles which can also result in scarring and hair loss.

Hair Loss Solutions

Hair loss solutions vary in cost, effectiveness and ease to use. This article is a general overview of the options available.

Hair loss is caused by different things, but based on Bernstein Medical, hair loss is often caused by disorders of the thyroid, oral contraceptives, gynecological problems and pregnancy for women, while genetic for men.

Hair restoration and hair transplant are mostly used for balding. There are many other hair loss solutions available.

Hair restoration consists of non-surgical hair loss treatment like low level laser remedies; natural hair loss remedies and drugs approved by FDA. Alternatively, hair wigs, hairpieces and fiber extensions are used.

Each of the hair loss solutions has its merits and limitations. Because of this fact, it is very important to study and distinguish the best solutions to hair loss.

FDA approved drugs are generally not expensive and is very easy to buy over the counter. Given these drugs may slow down hair loss, but you may have to wait for a minimum of six months to see the real results.

Hair loss natural remedies are also low cost and also can be bought in malls and grocery stores too. However, its effectiveness is enhanced by very little scientific data.

Hair lasers promote blood circulation and cell growth. Those suffering from thinning hair may see better results than baldness. Low level laser therapy is now available to be used at home. You don’t have to visit a doctor’s clinic and pay expensive bills. Laser hair regrowth is quite an inexpensive hair loss solution, however effective.

Using of laser comb is one of the most popular hair loss solutions to be used at home. Though it has the advantage of being mobile, and can be used while travelling, it may not be the cheapest or the most convenient. Bear in mind, a home-use overhead hair laser is now selling at the price of a laser comb however offering much more lasers.

Hats and wigs can be inexpensive, but can also assist in various styles and moods of a person. Another option is to use hair fiber which creates almost instantly a ‘real’ look of fuller hair. Hair fiber is quite an inexpensive option of hair loss solutions.

Hair Regrowth, DHT Blocker

Many has been talking about DHT blocker can help hair regrowth. Before we dive deep to look for the best hair regrowth treatments, let’s take a look at what DHT blocker is and how they can help fighting hair loss.

In terms of best hair loss products, men and women would have different needs. We'll talk about the reasons.

Blocking DHT - Your First Step to Stop Hair Loss

DHT is a byproduct of testosterone. Testosterone, of course, is an important hormone for the health and wellness of both men and women. However, when testosterone comes in contact with an enzyme in the body called "5 alpha reductase" it produces DHT which leads to a blockage of blood and nutrients to the hair follicles, eventually leading to hair loss. When hair loss is determined to be due to excessive DHT in the system, the best treatment is to imply DHT blocker.

Reasons for Male Pattern Baldness

In both men and women it’s a normal process that testosterone naturally converts to DHT. But the hair loss that results happens much more often in men because they have higher testosterone levels. One of the best ways to prevent the hair loss and treat the loss which is already occurring is to block the DHT receptors.

Reasons for Female Hair Thinning

Female seldom suffer from complete baldness as their testosterone levels are far lower than men, but Female Pattern Baldness has been rising to a problematic situation, in addition to the traditional thinning problem. Statistics show that one in four women face Female Pattern Baldness (FPB).

Women tend to lose their self confidence and self esteem with fewer and fewer hair left on their heads. Female hair loss mainly due to hormone surges, stress, illness or pregnancy, but these will only last temporarily. The major cause hereditary hair loss, or Alopecia, is said to account for 95% of female hair loss.

Block DHT with Natural Means – for both men and women

Natural scientists have found that Zinc is an effective agent for blocking DHT production. Choosing foods that are rich in zinc will help block DHT naturally; however there are other ways to block DHT using natural medicines made from all-natural herbs and minerals. Apart from these, DHT Blocker Shampoo is a good option.

Fight DHT with The Hair Loss Black Book

To tactle the problem of DHT, The Hair Loss Black Book has become more and more popular with hair loss sufferers. Everyday more people are turning to the book for a solution. If you are looking for a reason behind this phenomenon, click here to read my review.

Hair Regrowth

Hair Regrowth is created to provide information and resources on different hair regrowth treatments and products.

Today, men and women suffer from hair loss, regardless of age. Hair loss solutions have become highly sought after.

Hair loss can be embarrassing and be responsible for a bunch of other negative emotions, and finally causing us to lose our self confidence completely. However, it is easy to take it back. Hair Regrowth will shortlist the top best products based on performance, price and safety.

The Basics of Hair Loss
To understand hair regrowth treatments, you should first understand hair loss itself. There are many causes, primarily male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness, affecting almost 50% of adult males and 25% of adult women. This cause of hair loss is directly related to your hair's nutrition, levels of DHT and proper scalp hygiene. DHT, or Dihydrotestosterone, causes 95% of all hair loss.

Having understood the basics of hair loss, it is easy to master hair regrowth treatments. Hair is supported by blood flow, which in turn requires oxygen and nutrients to promote cellular activity and new growth. As hair grows in the follicle, it is lubricated by the sebaceous gland that secretes oil in the follicle, coating the hair for smooth growth and creating healthy luster and sheen.

Good nutrition is vital for healthy hair, requiring that blood and nutrients reach the papilla area.

The good news is, even with thinning, fine hairs, there is still life in the follicle and it can be repaired with proper hair nutrition, DHT blocking and good scalp hygiene.
